Gord Shmyrko, P.Eng. President
Gord Shmyrko is a professional engineer who graduated in 1990 from the University
of Alberta with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering. Gord has over 15
years of experience in Oil & Gas with Sierra Drilling, Imperial Oil, Shell Canada,
and Advantage Energy Services. Advantage Energy was formed with the objective of
creating a system that would “capture the last barrel of oil that others left behind”.
Gord specialized in artificial lift and traveled from the Cook Inlet to the Gulf
of Mexico working in integrated teams to identify and deliver on opportunities to
increase value.
In 1997, Tecskor was born with a focus of helping our clients deliver their plans. With Gord’s passion for process and broad experience
in oil & gas, he played a key role in developing Tecskor’s expertise and culture.
He traveled extensively throughout North America and international countries like
Yemen and Nigeria, working in oil & gas and government organizations. Gord led
the delivery teams in Nexen and Chevron, as well as the Government of Manitoba and
the Government of Alberta, which today are premier clients showcasing Tecskor’s
products and solutions.
In 2005, Gord took over as President and COO of Tecskor Corporation with a mission
to improve performance and teamwork in organizations throughout
the world.

John Burrows, CEO & Co-Chairman
Mr. Burrows brings years of business leadership experience to his role as Tecskor’s
chairman. Early in his career, Mr. Burrows held the position of national director
of operations research for CP Rail. Since then he has been an active entrepreneur,
co-founding Northstar Energy Corporation, Advantage Energy Services, and Tecskor
Corporation.
Mr. Burrows has held directorships with Cara Operations, AGT (now Telus) and has
been chairman of the Banff Television Foundation, chairman of NovAtel Communications,
director of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, and associate director of the Calgary
Exhibition and Stampede Board. Mr. Burrows holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from
the University of Toronto and has completed graduate studies in Labor Relations
at Queen’s University, and in Transportation Operations at Yale.

Earl T. Hickok, P.Eng. Founder & Co-Chairman
Mr. Hickok is currently in the role of Chief Operating Officer of Marble Point Energy
Ltd. Most recently Earl was the President & COO of TUSK Energy where he lead
production growth from 400 to over 5,000 boepd from November 2005 until Polar Star
Oil & Gas purchased TUSK Energy on April 9,2OO9. Marble Point is the authorized
agent for Polar Star in Canada.
Previous to TUSK Energy Mr. Hickok co-founded Adantage Energy Services Ltd. (AESL)
in 1991 and Tecskor Corporation in 1997 where he acted and continues as a director.
AESL acted as strategic operational consultants to corporations globally capturing
over 400 MM$ of value creation optimizing asset performance form 1991- 2003.
Mr. Hickok is a professional engineer of Alberta who worked f rom 1979 to 1991 with
lmperial Oil and Exxon as an operations and production engineer. Mr. Hickok left
Exxon Production Research in Houston, Texas in 1991 to return to Calgary and co-found
AESL.
Accomplishments lnclude:
2006: Asked to speak at an SPE Applied Technology Workshop in Phuket, Thailand on
"Who's Minding the Store" topic of optimizing your operations through leading edge
practices.
2005: Mayor of Calgary award for contribution to Calgary for donating software to
Not-for-Profit organizations to help them operate more effectively
2003-2005: Join Board of Directors of Argo Energy after selling 600 boepd oil property
from AESL to Argo.
2OOO-2002: Engaged by Gov of Alberta to be Chairman of e-Health for the Alberta ICT Strategy (10- days/mth for two years) 2000: Mr. Hickok organized the donation
of $500,000 US worth of high tech software from 5 companies to 7 Nigerian Universities
on behalf of the SPE. Mr.Hickok was made an honorary Chief in Nigeria in May of
that year in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
1998-1999: Engaged by Gov of Alberta for the "lnformation & Communication Technology
(lCT) Strategy Team (3-days/mth for two years) Outcome was the Alberta Supernet.
1997 Alberta Growth Summit participant with 100 Albertan picked by Premier Ralph
Klein
1996 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Distinguished Lecturer
