Hilda Lau is the Controller at Tecskor Corporation & Advantage Energy Services Ltd. (‘the companies”), having joined in 1998. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, immigrating to Canada in 1991 to attend the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) where she attained her Computer Technology Diploma.

Hilda expanded her career into accounting and received her Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation in 2000. Prior to joining the companies, she worked at the Entrepreneurial Advisory Services Group for PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC). She has also explored the world of financial planning, receiving her Master Financial Advisor (MFA) designation in 2015 and Real Wealth Manager (RWM) designation in 2018 from Manitoba-based Knowledge Bureau.

Hilda is a team player who thrives on technical excellence while optimizing costs and maintaining accounting controls for the companies. With over 20 years with our AESL & Tecskor teams she is now involved with our latest improvements to the AESL Business Operating System (BOS) that are leveraging her combined IT/accounting/financial planning background. Hilda is working to integrate our BOS with evolving technology trends (AI, Blockchain, Cloud technology, Machine Learning to name a few) to keep our processes and systems best-in-class.
